“Game of Thrones” is famous for doing tons of full frontal female nudity (apparently a senior exec at HBO has insisted that certain scenes be shot with female nudity even when it wasn’t in the script) while on occasionally showing male nudity and even awkwardly avoiding even when the penis was vividly described in the book. And even Kit Harrington has said that the double standard isn’t fair. Also, his contracts explicitly stipulates that he has to agree to full frontal nudity if it’s ever asked of him (though the one scene his character gets naked in the books has already been shown, and with a long rear shot with a stunt double). So given that he doesn’t think it’s fair, I’ve been thinking that he, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Finn Jones, Joe Dempsey, Eugene Simon, Iwan Rheon, Jack Gleeson,Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and others should do a full frontal photo shoot in protest.
