Ezra Miller served some fantastic cosplay at this year’s Comic-Con when he showed up for a Fantastic Beasts panel dressed up as a very sexy Toadette from Mario Kart.
The queer identifying actor, who plays Credence in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, did not blend in with the crowd when he hit the Hall H stage on Saturday as a gender-bent Toadette.
With co-stars Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Zoe Kravitz, Claudia Kim, and Callum Turner, as well as a surprise appearance from Johnny Depp, Miller was hard to miss. While most of the cast of the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald showed up in normal clothes, Miller appeared on stage in front of thousands of fans in a mushroom head with a pink vest, a scarf with pink balls, and pink fishnet stockings.

When asked about his costume during the panel, Miller responded, “It’s Toadette from the Nintendo Universe and sort of a ‘Fantastic Beast’ of that world. As Nintendo has announced, Toad’s species, they’re genderless beings, they’re not mushrooms, even though it’s understandable why people thought they were. I understand why people thought that even in this room. They’re adventure pals.”
How about we take this to the next level?

Miller, who identifies as queer, came out in 2012. He told Out magazine:
“I’m queer. I have a lot of really wonderful friends who are of very different sexes and genders. I am very much in love with no one in particular. I’ve been trying to figure out relationships, you know? I don’t know if it’s responsible for kids of my age to be so aggressively pursuing monogamous binds, because I don’t think we’re ready for them. The romanticism within our culture dictates that that’s what you’re supposed to be looking for. Then [when] we find what we think is love — even if it is love — we do not yet have the tools. I do feel that it’s possible to be at this age unintentionally hurtful, just by being irresponsible — which is fine. I’m super down with being irresponsible. I’m just trying to make sure my lack of responsibility no longer hurts people. That’s where I’m at in the boyfriend/girlfriend/zefriend type of question.”
Miller became the first openly queer man to front a superhero film when he played The Flash in Suicide Squad in 2016. In an interview promoting the first Fantastic Beasts film, he admits he never considered hiding his sexuality to aid his career in Hollywood.
When asked if he had ever hidden his sexuality to “get ahead”, Miller replies, “I never thought about hiding anything about myself.”

This isn’t the first time Miller has showed up to Comic-Con in cosplay. For last year’s gathering, Miller joined his Justice League cast dressed as Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. In 2016, Miller came out as Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings.

His quote about relationships sound like he got his heart broken a while back and he’s trying to convince himself (and possible the person who broke his heart) that he is above having “relationships” now, and that he just a free spirit…
That will continue until he falls in love again.

This man, I love, truly, madly, deeply. He’s so quirky and attractive in a non-conventional way, like Keir Gilchrist.

OOh, I’d love to be the meat in a Ezra/Keir sandwich, lol

I believe it was the Avengers sequel, not Suicide Squad, do you people do ANY research at all ?
stopyolying
– He plays the DC character The Flash
– He played the character in a scene in Suicide Squad
– Also in Justice League.
– Avengers is a Marvel property of which he is not a part of it.
They did their research, so this might be awkward for you.

So he’s “Queer” ..meaning? Because his dating life is very conventional serial monogamy with all women. Are people claiming “Queer” now simply because they have lgbt friends or dress up?
Ezra Miller has been in relationships with Shailene Woodley (2016), has been engaged to Erin Urb (2014 – 2016).Lauren Nolting (2011 – 2012), Zoë Kravitz (2010) and Esther Wald (2006).
Is he pulling the next step of the James Franco Winking to the LGBT community to get tickets sold?

Based off the few comments he’s made concerning his sense of self and why he’s queer-identifying it seems he may be a hetero-leaning pansexual, mostly into chicks but likes making out with dudes sometimes, getting some affection from guys pn occasion and perhaps sucking some dick here and there. And he says he’s “open” to a relationship with a dude in the future. He doesn’t seem to have substantial or sustained same-sex passions, romantic affections and emotional fullfillment. Or he may be one of those “queers” who’s obsessed with “mostly straight” dudes, which often keeps guys from legitimately dating someone of their gender.
Ultimately, you never know the dimensions of someone’s orientation or their sense of gender or the different things they’re stuggling with. So, it’s whatever. Until he’s willing to be thorough and direct (which very few non gay-indentifying celebs are) it’s best to just wish him well on his journey.
