“In the last episode, the level of sadness that I went through, I didn’t even know I had that kind of emotion … You need to be brave to be able to find that vulnerability to get there. Obviously the people behind the cameras, the directors really helped me a lot, but it was sad. It was intense.
I remember after that I called Penélope [Cruz] and I’m like, “Penélope, I’m devastated. This is horrible.” It was the actual last scene that we had to shoot. It was the day after the Golden Globes. So yes, I was celebrating at the Golden Globes but next day I had to commit suicide. So it was heavy.
Penélope was always there and she told me, “Ricky, this will pass. This is part of it. Eventually another project will come your way, but you have to understand that now this is over. You have to move on.” But I was really affected. I was really in it. It took me a minute to detach from.”Ricky Martin speaking to Gold Derby about the hardest part of filming American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace.

I didn’t know Ricky was such an intense method actor. The Strasbergs would have been impressed!

How many articles are we going to do on Ricky and the Andrew Cunanin story. I mean this is like the 5th time now.

They’ll find anything so that they don’t have to post about other LGBTQ news. Like star Amandla Stenberg coming out as gay; or the Vatican publicly recognizing “LGBT” (yesterday); or Ireland’s openly gay PM acknowledging the mistreatment of LGBT throughout the country’s history; or former Kentucky kicker Landon Foster coming out as gay; or SCOTUS’s rejection of a review of Rhines v. South Dakota, in which a man may have been sentenced to death because of anti-gay sentiments on the jury; or even World Refugee Day, which the Human Rights Campaign marked today, highlighting an asylum seeker who had to flee for his life because of anti-gay attitudes in his home country. There’s so much happening this month and always (like the post-Utah Pride homophobic attack) that Queerty just won’t cover. Not sure why. But hey, Ricky Martin, whom I’m a fan of, always gets coverage. As do Nico Tortorella, Colton Haines, etc.

That made for cable disaster has to be in the top five nominations for worst movie of the year. Yes, that just how awful it was.
@Kangol…….guess who else is STILL being ignored by Queerty. I mean not ONE word has been printed on this cyberspace rag about her.

Through this article, I have learned that one of my favorite Artists and Human Being’s on the Planet had been an Actor in the Giovanni Versace story. I am sure that it is one of the most exciting experiences in his life to get an opportunity to act in such a coveted and demanding role. I look forward to watching this movie that I have not had time to see. Way to go Ricky !!!
